Compak Bio-Composite Panels are the
product of processing an agricultural residue fibre, or wood flake with
a polymeric MDI binding resin. Materials technology development has
been pursued on three main fibre groups:
- Cereal Straws - Wheat
- Sugar Cane Bagasse
- Wood Flakes - router or planer shavings
Experience and knowledge gained from
many years of engineering and testing, has established accurate
prediction models for the determination of specific panel
characteristics.
There are a vast number of other materials that can be used as raw
material for the Compak process. Compak would recommend that additional
test procedures be carried out at our laboratory, for other fibrous
materials such as:
- Cereal straws - Barley, Oats, Rice,
Triticale......
- Grasses - Rye, Flax,
Hemp, Linseed, Miscanthus......
- Other Crop residues - Maize, Canola,
Sorghum......
The facilities at CompakĄ¯s
headquarters, provide materials research services for all potential
Compak users.
Board can be made from virtually any fibrous material, and work to
determine the suitability of any fibre can be undertaken on request.
